Date Palm Seed, Extracted OilAbstract
This research focuses on studying the influence of three most influential parameters on the oil extraction from powder of date palm seeds using the laboratory Soxhlet apparatus which introduces the highest yield of oil. The study parameters are the type of solvent, particle size of date seed powder، and period extraction. Accordingly، it can be confirmed that hexane is the most efficient solvent that can produce the maximum yield of extracted oil which was around 9 g per 100 g of powder of dry seeds. Also, the particle sizes of less than of 0.5 mm have deduced the maximum yield of oil. Finally, three hours of extraction is the best period to extract the highest production of oil.
